PickedPros (pickedpros.com) is operated by Maxwell Media ("we", "us", "our"). We connect you with independent local contractors through our partner network, at no charge to you. By using this site or submitting a request, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What We Are — And Are Not

We are not a contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, inspect, or warrant any work. We do not employ the contractors who contact you, and we do not endorse or recommend any particular one. Any agreement for work is solely between you and the contractor you choose. We do not verify the licensing, insurance, bonding, workmanship, or background of any contractor — check these yourself, and ask for written proof, before you hire anyone or pay any deposit.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use this site. You do not have to own the property — renters and tenants are welcome — but you must be authorised to arrange the work you are asking about. If you rent, check with your landlord or managing agent first, because work commissioned without permission may be at your own cost.

Requesting Quotes

Submitting a request costs you nothing and creates no obligation to hire anyone. Contractors set their own prices and terms. Any figures, ranges, or cost context shown on this site are general information gathered from public sources — they are illustrative only, are not offers, and are not a promise of what your project will cost. Only a written quote from a contractor, after they have assessed your property, is a real price.

Your Submission

Submit requests only for genuine home-improvement projects, using your own accurate contact details and a phone number you are authorised to receive calls and texts on. Do not submit another person's information. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide, and you understand your request will be shared as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

Do not use this site to submit false or automated requests, to scrape or copy its content, to interfere with its operation or security, to reverse engineer any part of it, or for any unlawful purpose.

Our Content

The text, design, graphics, and arrangement of this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may read and print pages for your own personal use; any other copying, republication, or commercial use requires our written permission.

Advertising

We are compensated by our partner network when we refer a project request. This does not change what you pay, and it does not mean any contractor has paid for a favourable mention.

Disclaimers

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of this site or from any work performed, or not performed, by a contractor you hire. Our total liability for any claim relating to this site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maxwell Media and its officers, employees, and partners from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your dealings with any contractor.

Governing Law And Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking relief in a small claims court.

Changes And Severability
